Title: Iwata parla della possibilità di rimuovere il region-lock dalle console Nintendo

In un incontro con gli investitori:

Quote"Region-locking has existed due to circumstances on the sellers' side rather than for the sake of the customers."

"As for what should be done going forward, if unlocked for the benefit of the customers, there may also be a benefit for us. Conversely, unlocking would require various problems to be solved, so while I can't say today whether or not we intend to unlock, we realize that it is one thing that we must consider looking to the future."

Togliendo il region-lock si avrebbero problemi con i distributori, i traduttori, e così via (ad es.: se il gioco X la gente se lo compra dall'estero, perché io distributore dovrei finanziarne la localizzazione?).

Probabilmente se Nintendo organizzasse le uscite con meno ritardi tra una regione e l'altra (ad es. Super Smash Bros. per 3DS è uscito quasi un mese dopo in occidente) ci sarebbero anche meno cacamenti di cazzo.

Perché seriamente, quanti ancora comprano robe import? Un tempo comprare import significava giocarsi le robe mesi prima, e spesso (in Europa) col vantaggio dei 60hz invece dei 50hz, ma oggi...
