Il gioco, pur imperfetto, m'era piaciuto molto, e ora l'autore ha anche trovato qualcuno che lo vuole trasformare in film...

QuoteA live-action film based on the stunning indie game.

Lifeless Planet is an indie game that was successfully funded on Kickstarter in 2011 and later released in 2014. The game features breathtaking scenery and a thrilling storyline—so much so, that it was only a matter of time before someone asked, "Wouldn't this make a great movie?" We think so too! Lifeless Planet has come home to Kickstarter to fund a live-action adaptation, which will fill in prequel elements to the game's main storyline.

Le parole dell'autore del gioco:

QuoteAt E3 this summer, the team at Wayside Creations introduced themselves to me at our Xbox One booth. Wayside has made a name for themselves by creating unique and high-quality films based on video game stories, including several extremely popular series up now on Machinima Prime. And now they want to produce a film based on the Lifeless Planet story.

I've been approached by several studios about making a Lifeless Planet film, but these guys are the best choice because they have a proven track record of creating exciting and interesting video game films. The point is not merely to re-tell the Lifeless Planet story, but to flesh out the characters and the world in a fresh way that is best done through live-action film.

If you enjoyed Lifeless Planet and want to see more, now is your chance to support the next chapter in the Lifeless Planet story. I'm super-excited to see what we will create together in Lifeless Planet: Arrival.

Il piano di base è di realizzare un corto di pochi (5-7) minuti, ma l'idea è di espandere il progetto se ci saranno fondi a sufficienza.

Gli autori, i Wayside Creations, hanno già al loro attivo un adattamento di Fallout:
