Un'altra developer costretta a lasciar casa a causa delle minacce ricevute

Brianna Wu, creatrice del gioco mobile Revolution 60, è stata costretta a lasciar casa assieme al marito dopo che un tizio del #GamerGate ha pubblicato il suo indirizzo dopo una pioggia di insulti e minacce di morte:

Il merdone è scoppiato dopo che lei si era espressa a supporto delle donne (dove come e perché l'articolo originale non lo dice). Ovviamente c'è stato chi ha detto che s'è inventato tutto lei per delegittimare il #GamerGate, e boh? chissà dove sta la verità.

Il problema è anche che non ci sono leggi adatte a contrastare questi fenomeni. Proprio oggi slashdot ha dedicato un post alla storia di Kathy Sierra, un'esperta di Java che nel 2007 si ritirò dalla scena pubblica dopo aver ricevuto minacce varie da un troll che alla fine, anche lui, pubblicò il suo indirizzo di casa.

Oggi il troll si sa chi è, ma legalmente non si può fare niente contro di lui perché "non è reato ripubblicare informazioni disponibili pubblicamente" e "non è reato essere stronzi". Lui, tanto per non smentirsi, ha pubblicato questo sul suo blog:

Tra doxxing e swatting in America stanno (come al solito) inguaiati. A meno che (come direbbe kein pfusch) non sia tutta una manovra per spingere verso controlli più restrittivi su internet...

Che poi in mail mi son beccato anche io un paio di "burn in hellW, "die..." in diverse salse e un BELLISSIMO "slap my vagina" ma da un ragazzo quindi non ha portato a nulla di buono.
