Square Enix annuncia Just Cause 3

Dopo i tanti rumor che si sono susseguiti in questi mesi, finalmente arriva la conferma ufficiale direttamente da Square Enix: Just Cause 3 arriverà su PC, PlayStation 4 e Xbox One nel 2015. La notizia arriva da Game Informer, che sembra avere ottenuto l'esclusiva per presentare il terzo capitolo della saga free-roaming.

I dev di Just Cause 3 hanno chiarito su un post nel loro blog che gli screenshot di qualche giorno fa sono di una versione preliminare del gioco, che il titolo uscirà nel 2015 per PC, Xbox One e PS4, che non sarà un free-to-play, e che sarà aggiornato ed espanso dopo l'uscita.

Direttamente da Game Informer arrivano nuovi dettagli. Il nuovo capitolo di Just Cause sarà ambientato in un isola di finzione del Mediterraneo chiamata Medici, dove l'asso del rampino Rico Rodriguez dovrà fermare il generale Di Ravello e liberare l'isola dal suo opprimente regime.


Just Cause 3 si colloca a molti anni di distanza dal capitolo precedente. Oltre all'affidabile rampino, Rico avrà anche una tuta alare, utile per i momenti in caduta libera. La mappa di gioco sarà grande circa 400 miglia quadrate e divisa in tre aree principali.
