Parlando ad un forum organizzato dall'Atlantic Council (https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atlantic_Council), in particolare a riguardo della possibilità di inserire in pianta stabile dei militari nelle scuole USA, Dave Anthony, game director di Call of Duty: Black Ops, avrebbe detto:

"We market it, and we market it as much as we can — so that whether people like it or not, we do all the things we can to essentially brainwash people into liking it before it actually comes out."
Il che ci dice due cose:
- Quello che molti sospettavano, ovvero che il marketing asfissiante serva a vendere i giochi fin da prima del rilascio, è sostanzialmente verità. Vedere alla voce Destiny.
- Fintanto che si tratta di giochini vabbè, ma queste connessioni tra blockbuster videoludici militareschi e militari "veri" sono quantomeno inquietanti. Come ha scritto qualcuno nei commenti al blog, queste tecniche hanno un nome preciso, e quel nome è PROPAGANDA.
