Peter Molyneux ne ha sparata una delle sue. In un'intervista a Pocket Gamer, ha dichiarato che il suo nuovo god-game non sarà un titolo free to play, ma invest to play. Secondo il buon Mulinello la monetizzazione entrerà in gioco solo quando il giocatore avrà la forma mentis giusta. "prima di parlare di monetizzazione, vogliamo che i giocatori vedano Godus come un hobby, non solo come un gioco".
